Advertising Policy

This Advertising Policy sets out the standards that all creatives and campaigns must meet to be served through the Bright Face Ads network, across our out-of-home screens, distribution channels and any inventory we operate. It applies to all advertisers and forms part of our Terms of Service.
01About this policy
Because our screens are shown in public spaces and to general audiences, we hold advertising to a high standard. This policy explains what is acceptable, what is restricted, what is prohibited, and how we review and enforce these standards.
Meeting this policy is the advertiser's responsibility. We may update it as laws, standards and our network evolve.
02General principles
All advertising served through our network must be:
- Lawful, compliant with all applicable laws, regulations and industry codes.
- Truthful, accurate and not misleading, with claims that can be substantiated.
- Appropriate, suitable for a general audience that may include minors in public spaces.
- Respectful, not discriminatory, demeaning or harmful to individuals or groups.
- Clearly identifiable, recognisable as advertising and not deceptive about its source.
03Review and approval
All creatives are reviewed before going live. Approval is based on this policy, the placement and the audience. Review timelines depend on format and volume; approval of one campaign does not guarantee approval of future campaigns. We may re-review and re-classify creatives at any time.
04Acceptable creative standards
To be approved, creatives should:
- Use legible text, good contrast and production quality appropriate to large public screens.
- Avoid excessive flashing, strobing or rapid flicker that could cause discomfort or risk to viewers.
- Clearly identify the advertiser or brand behind the message.
- Include any disclosures, terms or age statements required for the product or claim.
05Prohibited content
We do not accept advertising that is or contains:
- Illegal products, services or activity, or content that promotes them.
- Hateful, harassing or discriminatory content targeting protected characteristics.
- Violent, graphic, shocking or gratuitously disturbing content.
- Sexually explicit content or adult services.
- Deceptive, fraudulent or misleading claims, including scams and "get rich quick" schemes.
- Content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy or publicity rights.
- Content that endangers safety, encourages self-harm, or promotes dangerous behaviour.
- Malware, deceptive redirects or content that compromises user devices or security.
06Restricted categories
Some categories are permitted only where lawful and subject to additional conditions, approval and any required licences or disclosures:
- Alcohol, subject to local law, responsible-consumption messaging and audience restrictions.
- Gambling and betting, only where licensed, with required age and responsible-gambling notices.
- Financial products and services, must be clear, fair, not misleading and properly licensed.
- Health, pharmaceuticals and supplements, subject to applicable regulations and substantiation.
- Political and issue advertising, subject to local law, transparency requirements and our discretion.
- Tobacco, vaping and related products, restricted or prohibited depending on local law.
07Out-of-home and public-screen standards
Because our screens are visible to the public, additional standards apply:
- Content must be suitable for all ages who may see it in public spaces.
- No content that could distract drivers dangerously where screens are near roads.
- No animation patterns that risk triggering photosensitive reactions.
- Sensitive products must respect time, place and proximity restrictions (for example, near schools).
08Technical and creative specifications
Creatives must meet our technical specifications for format, resolution, aspect ratio, duration and file size for each placement. Creatives that do not meet specification may be rejected or may not display correctly. Our team can help you adapt assets to each screen and channel.
09Landing pages and destinations
Where advertising links to a destination, that destination must be functional, relevant to the advertisement, lawful, and consistent with this policy. Destinations must not contain prohibited content, deceptive practices, automatic downloads or anything that compromises user safety.
10Data, privacy and targeting
Advertising and any targeting must comply with applicable privacy and data-protection laws and our Privacy Policy. Advertisers must not use the Services to unlawfully collect personal information, to target individuals in prohibited ways, or to discriminate unlawfully. Sensitive categories may not be used for targeting except as permitted by law.
11Intellectual property and third-party rights
Advertisers must hold all rights necessary for their creatives, including rights to images, music, footage, trademarks and any individuals featured. Advertising must not imply false endorsement or misuse third-party brands, names or likenesses.
12Advertiser warranties
By submitting advertising, you warrant that it complies with this policy and all applicable laws, that you hold all necessary rights and consents, and that your claims are accurate and substantiated. You remain responsible for your advertising even after it is approved.
13Enforcement, rejection and removal
We may reject, pause, re-classify or remove any advertising that does not comply with this policy, at any time and without notice where necessary. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or termination of access under our Terms of Service. Removal of non-compliant advertising does not entitle you to a refund of delivered impressions.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this Advertising Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, standards, our network or our practices. The latest version, with an updated date, will always be available on this page, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
